London: Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Tower of London & Cruise

London keeps its best sights spread right across the city, and this full-day tour strings them together into one well-paced route. You begin at Westminster Abbey with timed entry, cross the royal heart of the city on foot, sail the Thames, and finish inside the Tower of London with the Crown Jewels. An expert guide stays with you the whole way.

Your guide meets you in central London and maps out the day before the first stop. Inside Westminster Abbey you bypass the main queues and walk through a thousand years of coronations, taking in the Coronation Chair and Poets' Corner, where Charles Dickens and Geoffrey Chaucer are buried.

Parliament Square opens up beyond the abbey, with Big Ben marking the corner of the Houses of Parliament. You then cut through St James's Park to the gates of Buckingham Palace and watch the Changing of the Guard, or the Horse Guards Parade on days when the ceremony does not run.

A break near Trafalgar Square gives you time to find lunch at your own expense, with the exterior of 10 Downing Street on the way. Afterwards you board a clipper on the Thames and watch London Bridge, Tower Bridge, City Hall, and the Shard slide past from the water.

You dock beneath the walls of the Tower of London, a fortress, royal palace, and prison founded by William the Conqueror in 1066. Your guide walks you past Traitor's Gate and the Beefeaters with stories of Guy Fawkes and Henry VIII's wives, then points you into the Jewel House, where you view the coronation regalia on your own.

This tour is perfect for first-time visitors who want London's headline landmarks in a single day, without stitching together tickets, routes, and timings on their own. It also suits history lovers and anyone who would rather walk a city than read about it.

Pick the version of the day that fits you best: join a scheduled group departure, or book a private guide dedicated to your group and set the pace yourselves. Every option covers the same sights, so the choice is about how you want to travel.
