Your first stop is Varenna, reached in the morning while it's still calm and quiet. Wander its pastel-colored houses, lakeside promenade, and narrow cobblestone lanes with your guide while the village is at its most peaceful.

From Varenna you'll cross to Bellagio, the elegant "pearl of Lake Como," famous for its stepped alleys, manicured gardens, boutiques, and panoramic views over both arms of the lake. You'll have free time to explore, shop, and stop for an authentic Italian lunch at one of the lake-view spots your guide recommends.

Then comes the highlight: a scenic boat cruise across Lake Como.
