- Please arrive at the entrance at least 15 minutes before your chosen time.
- The entrance to the basilica and the excavations is in Piazza di San Clemente.
- The excavations are not wheelchair accessible and require going down stairs.
- The underground levels include stairs, uneven surfaces and enclosed spaces. This activity may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties or claustrophobia.
- The underground levels may be cooler than the outside temperature; comfortable shoes are recommended.
- Until mid-2027, there may be scaffolding in the upper part of the basilica, but the underground tour remains the highlight of the experience.
