Begin your underwater adventure at the Parco Archeologico Sommerso di Baia, where you’ll take part in a Discover Scuba Diving program designed for those with no previous diving experience. This activity starts with a theory lesson led by a certified instructor, covering the basics of scuba diving and essential safety information. After gearing up with all provided equipment, you’ll board a boat and head to one of the park’s shallow dive sites, known for their calm conditions and fascinating archaeological remains.
Accompanied by your instructor, you’ll descend to a depth between 3 and 6 meters, perfect for first-time divers. Glide over mosaics, marble columns, and statues that once adorned ancient Roman villas, now preserved beneath the sea. Your instructor will guide you through every step, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident as you explore this unique blend of history and marine life. The experience is tailored for beginners, making it accessible and memorable for all participants.
After your dive, return to the diving center to use the changing rooms, showers, and equipment storage. The activity concludes at the dive center, giving you time to reflect on your adventure or continue exploring the Baia coastline. Entry to the park is not included and must be paid on site, with discounts available for eligible guests.
