Savour the Setúbal Story is the unhurried way to see Portugal's Setúbal wine region, a short, scenic drive over the Vasco da Gama Bridge from Lisbon. You will visit two family wineries, taste Setúbal's celebrated Moscatel alongside regional wines, sit down to a long Portuguese lunch, and spend the afternoon at a cozy winery and farm where you can wander the vines, meet the animals and pour at your own pace. These are working family estates, and the people who pour your wine are usually the people who made it.
We collect you from central Lisbon mid-morning with a welcome pack and an easy drive south. The first estate brings a guided vineyard and cellar tour, four wines plus Moscatel, and a spread of local cheese, charcuterie, jams and artisanal bread. We pause for a relaxed regional lunch in the historic town of Setúbal, where traditional dishes are paired with wines from the surrounding region. The day softens further at Quinta de Alcube, all peaceful countryside and golden light, before a scenic return over the 25 de Abril Bridge past Cristo Rei.
It is a small group, everything is included in your ticket, and the whole point is to slow down.
