At 17:30, when EVOA closes to the general public, the atmosphere shifts. This after-hours visit is designed for travelers who want quiet, mild late-day temperatures, and an unhurried pace—right at Lisbon’s Golden Hour.
Guided by an on-site biologist, you’ll head into the lagoon landscape at the most cinematic time of day. With binoculars in hand and a telescope available for closer viewing, you’ll have time to observe wildlife, ask questions, and learn how the ecosystem changes as the light softens and the day cools. Access to the lagoons is arranged by electric vehicle, with the option to go on foot if you prefer a slower, more immersive walk.
You can tailor the experience to your interests, choosing one (or combining several) of the following angles: Neuro-Ornitherapy (a wellbeing-focused approach using birdwatching and nature immersion to support calm and attention), Photography & Light (sunset tones, silhouettes, and shadow geometry without crowds), or Golden Hour with Family & Friends (a relaxed late-afternoon outing in a safe, tranquil setting).
The tour runs Tuesday to Sunday (17:30–19:00) during the March–October season and is kept intentionally small (1–5 participants) for a more personal, guided experience. You’ll return to the interpretation center with a clearer sense of EVOA’s natural rhythms—and a very different view of Lisbon at day’s end.
