Walk along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and see the East River

Start the tour in Brooklyn Heights, a residential area with streets lined with brownstones and pre-Civil War homes. This neighborhood was the first to be protected by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.

From the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, look across the East River and see the Manhattan skyline. Continue to Brooklyn Bridge Park, which offers many photo opportunities.

Next, head to DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), where old warehouses now house art galleries, well-known start-ups, and popular spots.

Finally, see the Brooklyn Bridge. A guide will tell you the history of this famous bridge, a key part of New York's growth.
