Our meeting point is set for 11 am outside the Medici Riccardi Palace. Are you prepared to delve into the residence of the most notable family of the Italian Renaissance? Let’s embark on this journey!
Upon entering the palace, we will share insights about its historical background. Commissioned by Cosimo de' Medici during the 15th century, this edifice served as the family’s official home for more than a century, ultimately becoming an emblem of their influence. By the 17th century, it transitioned to the Riccardi family, who introduced various baroque enhancements to the structure.
Throughout the visit, we’ll examine the architectural intricacies and reminisce about scenes from the TV series Medici: Lords of Florence, with figures like Peter the Gotoso and Lorenzo the Magnificent following us through the narrative.
