Explore Alfama, the historical heart of Lisbon, through a private walking tour that unveils the unique charm of one of the city's most iconic neighborhoods. Journey through significant landmarks, including São Jorge Castle, the Sé Cathedral, and the enchanting Miradouro de Santa Luzia.
Tour Overview
The adventure begins at the Praça do Comércio, a central square that serves as the meeting point for your private walking tour of Alfama. Known as the oldest and most picturesque area in Lisbon, Alfama offers a glimpse into the city’s rich heritage.
As this is a tailored experience, you will have the opportunity to craft your own itinerary. Your guide will reveal the hidden gems of this historic district, well-known for its cultural significance as the cradle of fado.
During our stroll, you will navigate through a labyrinth of narrow streets, steep hills, and vibrant facades. Highlights of the tour will include iconic sites like the Casa dos Bicos, the Casa de José Saramago, the Lisbon Cathedral, São Jorge Castle, Largo de São Miguel, and the historic Roman Theatre.
To take in stunning views of the lower Lisbon area and the Tagus River, we will conclude our tour with a visit to the breathtaking Miradouro de Santa Luzia or the Miradouro das Portas do Sol.
The complete journey will last approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, after which we will bid farewell at a convenient location in Lisbon.
