Discover Murano through the eyes of a true local on a unique private experience combining authentic island life, centuries-old glassmaking traditions, and the comfort of private transportation from Venice.
Your experience begins in San Marco, where a private water taxi will take you directly across the lagoon to Murano.
Once on the island, meet your local host, a Venetian with deep personal and family ties to Murano. Having spent much of his life on the island — and worked over the years as a gondolier, water-taxi driver and in the world of Murano glass — he will introduce you to his Murano, far from a conventional tourist visit.
For approximately one hour, stroll together through the island’s streets, canals and quieter corners while hearing personal stories, local anecdotes and fascinating insights into everyday life on Murano. Along the way, enjoy a small secret local aperitivo in one of his favorite spots.
Your host will then personally accompany you to one of Murano’s most beautiful glass factories. Discover the fascinating tradition of authentic Murano glassmaking, watch skilled glass masters at work and explore the factory’s beautiful collections and showroom.
A dedicated assistant will accompany you throughout the experience, helping with translation, organization and anything you may need, so you can simply relax and enjoy Murano.
At the end of the visit, your private water taxi will be waiting to take you directly back to San Marco.
The complete experience lasts approximately 2 to 2.5 hours and has been designed as an intimate and personal way to discover Murano — combining the stories of a local, the island’s glassmaking heritage and the comfort of a fully organized private experience.
