On this excursion, we'll discover three of the most fascinating and photogenic treasures around Prague: the stunning Velká Amerika canyon, the medieval majesty of Karlštejn Castle, and the romance of the Průhonice gardens. A perfect combination of nature, history, and fairytale landscapes!
Trip Itinerary: At 9:00 a.m., we'll meet outside the Fairmont Hotel in the center of Prague. There, we will board our coach and leave the capital behind to head for our first stop: Velká Amerika, popularly known as the Czech Grand Canyon.
Upon arrival, we will take a short walk of about 10 minutes to the main vantage point. From there, you can admire this impressive quarry canyon flooded with turquoise waters, a spectacular landscape that is unique in the country. After a stop of about 30 minutes to immortalize the place and capture the best photographs, we will return to the coach.
Our next stop will be the imposing Karlštejn Castle, one of the most famous and beloved medieval fortresses in the Czech Republic. We'll enjoy a pleasant walk of about 7-10 minutes surrounded by nature until we reach the castle. Once there, we'll take a tour of its exterior to admire the colossal architecture of this 14th-century fortress, built by Emperor Charles IV to guard the royal treasures.
We will then take a leisurely walk down to the picturesque village of Karlštejn. In this area, you will have free time to have lunch on your own, try the local cuisine or a good Czech beer, and browse its charming shops in search of souvenirs.
With renewed energy, we'll travel to the Palace and Gardens of Průhonice, a historic complex declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll stop to admire this fairytale palace and take a pleasant guided walk of about 20-30 minutes through the most beautiful areas of its botanical gardens and ponds, enjoying fabulous views.
Finally, we will conclude this full activity, lasting between 8 and 9 hours, by returning to the starting point in Prague.
