Begin your adventure at Kukulcan Boulevard, Hotel Zone, Cancún, Quintana Roo. Arrive 40 minutes before your scheduled activity to complete the check-in process and receive a safety briefing. If you are departing from Cancún, take the complimentary ferry to Dolphin Discovery, available only at 9:00 a.m.
From the very beginning, expert trainers will guide you through an educational presentation where you will discover the anatomy, behavior, and natural characteristics of sea lions. Learn to identify the main differences between seals and sea lions, understand how they use their flippers to move, explore the unique features of their fur, and discover why protecting their natural habitat is so important.
The Sea Lion Discovery program is designed with animal welfare at its core, ensuring that all interactions are based on the sea lions' natural behaviors. Throughout the experience, observe their intelligence, curiosity, and remarkable abilities while trainers share fascinating insights into their diet, daily care, and the conservation efforts that help protect the species.
As part of the experience, participate in the Swimby activity, where you can gently stroke a sea lion under the supervision of the professional staff. The activity begins with an interaction on a dry platform and then continues in the water, where the sea lion will naturally approach you for a safe and respectful encounter.
Guests remain standing in water approximately 1.20 meters (4 feet) deep, although the depth may vary depending on the habitat. The experience is divided into two stages—one on land and one in the water—lasting approximately 10 minutes each.
In addition to the sea lion encounter, enjoy the facilities at Dolphin Discovery Isla Mujeres, relax in the swimming pools, and make use of the lockers, showers, and restrooms for your comfort throughout the day.

- Children must be over 1.40 m tall to participate in the sea lion interaction.

- Life jackets are mandatory.
