Meet your local guide at São Bento Railway Station and begin with an approximately 1-hour guided walk through Porto’s historic center. Start by discovering São Bento and its famous azulejo panels before heading into the old city.
Along the way, your guide will introduce you to Porto through fascinating stories about its history, traditions, architecture, local characters, and romantic episodes. Continue along Rua das Flores, one of the most charming historic streets in Porto. Look beyond the shopfronts to discover beautiful façades, architectural details, old houses, churches, and symbols that reveal different chapters of the city’s past.
The walk then descends towards Ribeira, where narrow streets open onto the Douro River and some of Porto’s most iconic views. Here, after approximately one hour together, your guide will say goodbye — but your date is only beginning.
Receive a sealed Porto Romantic Date Envelope containing everything you need for approximately 2 additional hours of independent exploration. Inside you will find a suggested romantic route, Porto stories, conversation cards, playful couple challenges, photo and kiss challenges, small surprises, and ideas for atmospheric places to stop together.
Continue along the Douro, explore the streets around Ribeira, discover beautiful viewpoints, or choose a place for a coffee or drink. There is no fixed pace during this part of the experience. Choose the cards you like, skip any challenge you don’t want to do, make spontaneous stops, and spend as much time as you wish in your favorite places.

- All couple challenges are optional. Choose only the activities that both participants are comfortable with. The independent route is flexible and can be adapted to your own pace and preferences.
- This experience has two parts. The first approximately 1 hour is a guided walking tour from São Bento through Rua das Flores to Ribeira. After the guided section, you receive your Romantic Date Envelope and continue independently.
