Kensington Gardens guided tour and high tea
- Cancellation not allowed.
Description
During this 2-hour tour, you'll have a leisurely stroll around Kensington Gardens accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, and taste royal English afternoon tea.
You'll see the gardens Prince Albert created for his wife Queen Victoria. Take in the views as you approach the Palace, built in 1690 for William and Mary and more recently where Prince Harry and William grew up. The tour ends with a viewing of the statue of Princess Diana, which stands in the sunken garden.
You'll then experience high tea whilst your guide gives you insights into the Royal Family and the intriguing history behind the national drink as well as the ceremony of afternoon tea. Enjoy a selection of sandwiches with egg mayonnaise and cress, smoked salmon and cream cheese, roast ham and English mustard, and cucumber and fresh mint. Try scones made with Welsh butter, filled with cream and jam and indulge in a selection of fine afternoon tea cakes.
