This 9-hour hiking tour will take you to the central part of the island, near the highest peak of Gran Canaria – Pico de las Nieves (1957 m above sea level).
Here you'll be amazed by the view of the neighbouring Roque Nublo, the east and south coast of the island and, if the visibility is good, you'll be able to spot Pico de Teide (3718 m above sea level). Enjoy the panorama of the surrounding villages and discover rock formations and forests covered with Canary pine.
After hiking you'll have lunch at a local restaurant where you can try regional dishes such as the mojo and alioli sauces, the famous papas arrugadas and more.

Pickup service is available in the Maspalomas area only, including Bahía Feliz, San Agustín, Playa del Inglés, Meloneras, Sonnenland, Campo Internacional, and San Fernando. Please be ready outside the hotel reception at least 5 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. The bus will display the “GC Active Tour” logo.

- Please note that pick-up is NOT available from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (north of the island) or from Puerto de Mogán, Taurito, Playa del Cura, Puerto Rico, and Arguineguín in the south of the island

- Route details: Monday distance: approximately 10 km; ascent/descent: 400 m; maximum height: 1917 m; minimum height: 1650 m. Sunday and Wednesday distance: 7 km; ascent/descent: 300 m; maximum height: 1917 m; minimum height: 1650 m
- In the period May 15–September 30, the route will be carried out according to the following characteristics: distance: approximately 7 km; ascent/descent: 250-300 m; Duration: approximately 3.5 hours
- In the event of adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, the local partner may modify the route, change to an alternative route, reschedule the tour date, or cancel it. In case of cancellation due to force majeure, you'll receive a full refund

Remember to bring:
- Mountain clothing or sportswear
- Hiking shoes with a good grip are mandatory and will be checked by a guide before starting the trip
- From October to March, the weather can vary more easily, and rainfalls are usually more frequent (trips during rainy days are generally avoided, but sometimes the weather can be a surprise). Warm clothing with long sleeves as well as long trousers and, just in case, a rain jacket which can also serve as a windstopper are strongly recommended
- Considering the fact that dinner in the restaurant is at about 3.30 pm and that everyone has individual preferences, you can take a light meal of your own, for example: fruits, energy bars, almonds, biscuits, sandwiches, etc.
