Tour Selections
During the reservation process, you can select from the following options:
Self-Directed Tour of Girona
Your journey will commence at the specified hour from Barcelona's Estació del Nord (North Station), followed by a drive of around 1.5 hours to Girona.
Upon reaching this stunning Catalan city, you'll receive your entrance tickets for the cathedral and the Basilica of Sant Feliú. Afterward, you'll have the remainder of the day free to explore the city as you wish.
You can wander through the picturesque Jewish Quarter of Girona, take in the charming houses lining the Onyar River, or savor the delightful local delicacies.
At the designated time, we'll reconvene in central Girona to start our return trip to the Barcelona meeting point, concluding this 9-hour excursion.
Guided Tour of Girona, Figueras, & Dalí Museum
Meet your guide at Barcelona’s Estación del Norte and board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach heading towards the historic region of Girona, located in northeast Catalonia.
Once we arrive, follow your knowledgeable guide through the charming Old Town (Barri Vell) on foot as you uncover its remarkable Jewish Quarter, one of the finest preserved in Europe. Throughout this guided experience, you will explore significant landmarks such as the Basilica of Sant Feliú, the Cathedral, and the Pont de les Peixateries Velles. Afterward, you may visit the Sant Martí church or the Plaça de la Independència.
After discovering the primary sights of the city, you'll have an hour of free time to meander at your own pace and enjoy local cuisine at a nearby restaurant.
Following lunch, we will proceed to Figueres, the birthplace of the iconic Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí. The Dalí Museum is situated within the remnants of the Municipal Theatre that Dalí transformed into the Dalí Theatre Museum, featuring the largest collection of his artworks, encompassing paintings, drawings, and sculptures.
Dalí's design for this Theatre-Museum offers visitors a holistic experience, which includes the extraordinary sculpted eggs adorning the rooftop.
Additionally, you'll have access to “Dalí-Jewels” (Dalí-Joies), a permanent exhibit showcasing 39 exquisite jewels made of gold and precious stones, along with the related artworks he created.
Your day will conclude with our return to the original meeting point after approximately 9 hours.
