Guided Tour of the Museum of Fine Arts in Seville
Our journey begins on Alfonso XII street, where we will meet with our knowledgeable guide before entering the stunning Museum of Fine Arts in Seville. Throughout our visit, we will delve into the narratives surrounding significant 17th-century masterpieces. This era, marked by the Andalusian Baroque, showcases exceptional works from artists like Murillo, Zurbarán, Velázquez, and Valdés Leal.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the artistry of Murillo, one of the most distinguished painters of Seville. Within the museum, you will find a pivotal piece by this artist: The Immaculate Conception. We will closely examine the intricate details of this essential work while uncovering the fascinating story behind its commission.
Aside from the notable paintings and sculptures in the permanent collection, we will also explore the history of the museum itself. Housed in the former Convent of La Merced, which origins trace back to the 13th century, the museum’s various rooms offer insights into both art and heritage.
As the tour concludes, you will have the opportunity to revisit your favorite sections of the museum at your leisure.
