Tour Details
Our evening adventure begins at the designated hour from the Puerta de San Cristóbal. Are you prepared to uncover the secrets of the largest Gothic cathedral in existence? The tranquil atmosphere at night allows for a more serene appreciation of its interior, sparing you from the daytime throngs of visitors.
Initially, we will embark on a 45-minute journey through the cathedral's interior. A highlight of our visit will be the tomb of Christopher Columbus. This remarkable funerary structure, established in 1889, is rich in intricate details that we will explore together.
As we progress through the site, we will encounter an array of religious art pieces from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Notable works include La Cieguecita by Juan Martínez Montañés, El Ángel de la Guarda by Murillo, and Las santas Justa y Rufina by Goya, each possessing its unique charm.
Furthermore, we will access particular chapels that are typically inaccessible during daylight hours, such as the Royal Chapel, which houses the remains of Spanish monarchs including Ferdinand III "the Saint", Alfonso X "the Wise", and Peter I of Castile.
After taking in the impressive High Altar and exploring the central nave along with its main chapels, we will proceed to the Giralda, the towering bell tower of the cathedral. This ascent, which lasts around 15 minutes, leads us up gentle ramps to a viewing platform situated at 94 meters (308 ft) above the city, where we will relish some of the most breathtaking night views of Seville.
To conclude our tour, we will partake in a 30-minute audiovisual presentation within the cathedral. On Mondays and Fridays, this consists of captivating video mapping displayed at various sites throughout the temple, while on Saturdays the projections focus on the High Altar. In every instance, you will witness stunning visual orchestration that blends vibrant colors and sacred artifacts with harmonious music, crafting a truly enchanting experience.
