Join a day excursion from London to uncover three captivating sites in England: visit Windsor Castle, a royal residence; explore Stonehenge, renowned as one of the planet's most iconic prehistoric structures; and stroll through Oxford, one of England's oldest cities. A variety of ticket options are available to meet your needs.
Details of the Day Trip
Your journey begins at a central location in London, where we'll board a comfortable coach. Sit back and enjoy the ride for approximately one hour until we reach Windsor Castle.
Situated just an hour from London, Windsor Castle is recognized as the largest occupied fortress in the world, featuring an 800-year-old tower. Nestled in an exquisite setting, it boasts stunning gardens. During our visit, we'll navigate through its elegant rooms, appreciate its artistic treasures, and tour St George’s Chapel. A standout feature is Queen Mary’s Doll House, a remarkable miniature house constructed between 1921 and 1924 that even includes functioning hot water and electricity.
Next, we will make our way to Stonehenge, the UK's most famous megalithic site. Crafted from 40-ton stones over 5,000 years ago, this monument remains shrouded in mystery, with questions surrounding its construction and original purpose yet to be answered.
Following our exploration of Stonehenge, we will proceed to Oxford, one of the most historic cities in England and home to a prestigious university. Take in the beauty of “the city of dreaming spires” and notable locations such as the Bodleian Library, one of Europe's oldest libraries. The picturesque streets and squares of Oxford will provide an unforgettable experience!
After a full day of approximately 11.5 hours, we will return to central London.
Ticket Options
When booking, you can select from three ticket choices:
- Day trip without tickets
- Day trip with tickets to Stonehenge
- Day trip with tickets to both Windsor Castle and Stonehenge
If you opt for the trip without tickets, you'll have the freedom to explore each site independently, purchasing entry at their ticket offices or enjoying the surroundings. Should you choose the Stonehenge entry option, free time will be available to wander the area while the rest of the group tours Windsor Castle. A designated meeting point will be set for a smooth regrouping and continuation of the tour.
