Embark on a captivating full-day excursion from Milan and uncover the wonders of northern Italy, featuring a visit to Monte Bianco, the Italian rendition of Mont Blanc, along with a stroll through the enchanting village of Courmayeur, nestled in the picturesque Aosta Valley.
Monte Bianco & Courmayeur Adventure
Our journey begins at the Largo Cairoli Visitor Centre, where we will depart from Milan and set off by bus toward the Aosta Valley, the north-westernmost region of Italy.
After a scenic drive lasting approximately two and a half hours, we will reach the charming town of Courmayeur. This idyllic alpine village is positioned at the base of Monte Bianco, known in French as Mont Blanc.
Upon arrival in Courmayeur, we will step aboard the Monte Bianco Skyway. Our ascent includes a ride aboard the cable car to the Pavillon du Mont Fréty, a terrace that reveals breathtaking panoramic vistas of the majestic mountain landscapes. Here, we will disembark to explore Saussurea, the highest botanical garden in Europe, perched at an elevation of 2173 meters.
The Saussurea botanical garden is conveniently located beside the Bellevue panoramic restaurant, where you may opt for lunch as desired. Following our meal, we will resume our adventure by taking the Monte Bianco Skyway to continue our ascent towards Punta Helbronner, a mountain that denotes one of the alpine frontiers between Italy and France.
At Punta Helbronner, standing at 3466 meters, we will be greeted with stunning views that encompass the Italian, French, and Swiss Alps. After absorbing the incredible scenery, we shall return via the cable car to the historic heart of Courmayeur, affording you free time to explore its renowned chocolate shops.
Concluding our day, we will board the bus back to our original meeting spot in Milan, arriving approximately 13 hours later.
