Day Trip Overview
Our journey begins at the designated meeting point located at number 8, Marquês de Pombal Square. From here, we will board a comfortable bus, leaving behind Lisbon to delve into a tour of three of the most iconic cities in Portugal.
The first stop is Óbidos, a picturesque medieval town encircled by ancient walls. We will meander along the Rua Direita, pausing at the impressive Óbidos castle to appreciate its striking architecture. This remarkable structure is celebrated as one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal.
After exploring Óbidos, we will venture to Nazaré, renowned as a premier destination for surfers from across the globe. Our guided exploration will lead us through this charming fishing community, highlighting key attractions such as the Forte de São Miguel. Here, visitors can observe the colossal waves crashing against the Nazaré shoreline.
Next, we will wander through O Sitio, one of Nazaré's most celebrated neighborhoods, filled with significant religious structures frequented by pilgrims worldwide. Ascending to the elevated areas, we will encounter medieval fortresses and basilicas dating back to the 17th century.
Our journey continues to Porto, where you will be captivated by the scenic views of the Douro River and its remarkable six bridges. We will traverse the historic center, taking in the beauty of the Palácio de Cristal gardens, the Church of Carmen, the intricately tiled São Bento train station, the Church of San Francisco, and the iconic Don Luis I Bridge.
Following the guided tour of Porto, you will have one hour of free time to enjoy a leisurely lunch at your convenience.
