Lisbon Layover Experience
This private tour includes a vehicle, an English-speaking driver, airport pickup, and return transfer. Upon your arrival, you will find us with a sign bearing your name next to Starbucks in the airport.
Our adventure begins in the stunning district of Belém, home to numerous iconic landmarks. Notable sites include the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower, and the Monument to the Discoveries.
After exploring these remarkable attractions, you will have some leisure time to sample one of the city’s signature treats: the Belém pastries. You’re sure to enjoy this delightful experience!
Next, we’ll make our way to the heart of Lisbon, where we’ll stroll down the Avenida da Liberdade, a stunning boulevard renowned as the most elegant street in the city. Here, we will also visit the Praça dos Restauradores and the bustling Plaça do Rossio, the city’s vibrant hub.
Finally, we will venture into the Alfama, an area historically inhabited by Lisbon's fishermen. While wandering through its unique architecture, you’ll uncover the rich history of this quaint neighborhood, which is also the birthplace of fado, a soulful genre of music.
At the conclusion of this four-hour excursion, we will ensure your timely return to the airport.
Important: Layover Considerations
The total travel duration between the airport and the city center is approximately 60 minutes. It is essential to be back at the airport a minimum of two hours prior to your flight's departure, so it is advisable to have at least six hours of layover time to fully enjoy this tour.
Instructions
The starting time of the tour will depend on your arrival time at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport.
We'll meet you in the public area of the airport, after passing through the "nothing to declare" gate, you'll go down the ramp on the left hand side. The guide will be holding a sign with your name on it.
