Sainte-Chapelle
The Sainte-Chapelle is a Gothic church recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcasing stunning stained glass windows. It contains a collection of sacred art depicting the history of the Passion relics and other biblical events.
Sainte-Chapelle Opening Times
Your visit will be scheduled for the specific time selected. The Conciergerie must be visited on the same day at any time within the following time slots:
- April 1 to September 30: 9 am to 7 pm
- October 1 to March 31: 9 am to 5 pm
Final admission to the Conciergerie is 1 hour before closing. Access is granted in 30-minute passes, and visiting in the mornings is recommended.
Conciergerie in Paris
This Gothic palace served as a residence for the French monarchy and later became a prison during the French Revolution, notably housing Marie Antoinette. The tour includes palatial rooms and prison cells.
With your ticket, you will receive a free informational leaflet in English and other languages, as well as access to guided tours in French, lasting about one hour.
Conciergerie Opening Times
Visit the Conciergerie on the same day as Sainte-Chapelle, between 9:30 am and 6 pm, with final admission 30 minutes before closing.

The Conciergerie ticket includes an explanatory brochure in multiple languages and a free guided tour in French, subject to daily scheduling.

Instructions
Both the Conciergerie de Paris and the Sainte-Chapelle are located on the Boulevard du Palais on the Île de la Cité in Paris. To access both monuments, all you have to do is show the barcode on your booking voucher at the main entrance.
The Cité metro station is just a five-minute walk from the Conciergerie and the Sainte-Chapelle. This stop is on line 4 (the purple one).
Before entering the monuments, please note that the following items are not allowed: motorcycle helmets, aerosols, knives, forks or sharp objects, scissors, glass bottles, large luggage or bags, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades.
Opening Times
Your visit to Sainte-Chapelle will take place at the time you selected.
The visit to the Conciergerie and the Sainte Chapelle, which must take place on the same day as the Sainte-Chapelle visit, can take place at any time during the following period: from 9:30 am to 6 pm. Please note that the final admission to the Conciergerie is 30 minutes before closing time.
Access to the monument is organized in 30-minute slots. For example, if your time is 10 am, you can enter at that time, or at 10:30 am at the latest.
We recommend visiting the Sainte-Chapelle in the morning when the monument is less crowded.

Free Admission
Admission to the Sainte-Chapelle is free for the following individuals:
- Young people from the European Union aged 18 - 25
- Children under 18 years old, regardless of their nationality
- People with disabilities and a companion
- French job seekers
- People with the Education Pass
In order to acquire the free admission mentioned above, you'll have to go to the site’s website and present a valid ID demonstrating your eligibility for a free ticket.
Admission is also free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and March 31, between November 1 and December 31, and the third weekend of September.
Access Points
Currently, access to Île de la Cité is available from two different points in Paris. You can head to either of these access points:
- From the right bank of the Seine (Châtelet metro stop): access to the island is via the Pont au Change. You'll need to present your booking voucher at the checkpoint located at the Tour de l'Horloge
- From the left bank of the Seine (Saint-Michel Notre-Dame metro stop): access to the island is via the Pont Saint-Michel. You'll need to present your booking voucher at the checkpoint located at the intersection of Quai des Orfèvres and Boulevard du Palais
