Are you currently in Tokyo? Experience an unforgettable day trip to Mount Fuji, Lake Ashi, and Kamakura where you will explore some of Japan’s most breathtaking landscapes. Prepare yourself for a seamless blend of coastal and mountainous beauty!
Details of the Day Trip
At the specified time, we will convene at the designated meeting point to commence our excursion to Kamakura and Mount Fuji. Let’s embark on this adventure!
Our journey begins with an hour-long ride along the beautiful Tokyo Bay until we reach our first destination: Kamakura. Upon arrival, we will visit the K?toku-in temple, home to the magnificent Great Buddha, a revered bronze statue symbolizing Buddhism within Japan. Following this, we’ll proceed to Hakone, where a boat awaits to ferry us across the serene waters of Lake Ashi. If the skies are clear, we will be graced with stunning views of Mount Fuji.
Next, we will head to the idyllic village of Oshino Hakkai, nestled near Mount Fuji. Its name translates to Eight Seas, due to its renowned crystal-clear springs, a legacy of ancient volcanic eruptions. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore this charming area at your leisure and savor a delightful lunch at a local eatery.
Post-lunch, we will continue our journey to Kawaguchi Lake, where you can take some time to discover the surroundings. Afterwards, we will make a brief stop at the Oishi Park Parking Lot.
In conclusion, this comprehensive 11.5-hour day trip will wrap up, bringing you back to our starting meeting point in Tokyo.
Alternative Option Without Lunch
If you opt for this alternative, your experience will include a sumptuous lunch featuring Houtou noodles or Udon noodles (available with or without meat), seaweed salad, fried fish (vegetarians may choose a vegetable alternative), rice, miso soup, and ice cream for dessert.
