Explore Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi

Embark on a memorable journey to witness the majestic Mt. Fuji from the tranquil shores of Lake Kawaguchi. Our adventure begins with a meetup at the West Exit of Shinjuku Station, where we will board a bus to this idyllic destination surrounded by vibrant flora.

Upon arrival, a brief stroll will lead us to one of the most stunning viewpoints, offering an unrivaled sight of the iconic mountain. In addition to soaking in the breathtaking vistas, we'll take pleasure in a boat ride across Lake Kawaguchi.

After this delightful experience, you'll have some leisure time to explore the scenic area at your own rhythm. This is the perfect opportunity to take a cable car ride up to the commanding mountain summit. Once we regroup, we'll head back to the city to indulge in a delightful traditional Japanese meal.

Revitalized, we will next visit the Chureito Pagoda. This stunning five-tiered red structure stands as a quintessential representation of Japan, offering numerous photo opportunities.

Our exciting day wraps up as we return to our initial gathering point after approximately eight hours.

Notice on Wait Times

While savoring the boat excursion on Lake Kawaguchi and enjoying the cable car experience, be prepared for potential wait times, which can extend from 45 minutes to 1 hour.

On certain occasions, it may not be feasible to engage in both activities. In such instances, the guide will recommend which experience to prioritize, ensuring optimal use of your time.

Service Interruptions

The cable car service will be unavailable until July 15, 2026, due to ongoing renovations.
The boat ride will not operate on June 16, 23, or 30, and on December 1, 8, 15, or 22, 2026. For the year 2027, it will also not be available on January 19 or 26.

Instructions

The day before the activity, the local supplier will reach out to you to explain how to get your train ticket.

Meet us at the south exit of the Shinjuku Metro Station (Japan, 160-0023 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Nishishinjuku, 1 Chome−1). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Please note that the price of train tickets (not included in the tour, and payable in cash on the day of the tour) varies depending on whether or not you have a JR Pass.

Lunch is also not included, nor are tickets for the cable car and boat ride, which must also be paid for in cash (credit cards are not accepted) on the day of the tour.

Important Info

The visibility of Mount Fuji is always subject to weather conditions, and at no time can we guarantee its visibility. The company declines all responsibility if Mount Fuji cannot be seen due to weather conditions.

Partial Closures

Due to renovations, the cable car will be closed until July 15, 2026, so it will not be available as part of the activity.
The boat ride will not operate on June 16, 23, or 30, nor on December 1, 8, 15, or 22, 2026. In 2027, it will not operate on January 19 or 26.

Wait Times

Along with the boat trip on Kawaguchi Lake, to enjoy the cable car ride, please keep in mind that waiting times can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Due to this, on some days, it may not be possible to perform both activities. In this scenario, the guide will suggest which attraction to do to better optimize your time.
