Ready to discover the attractions of Shirakawago and Kanazawa in just one day? Depending on the option you choose, you can take the bullet train from your point of origin to the Kanazawa Station at your own pace.
Once with our guide in Kanazawa, the day will start with a visit to the charming town of Shirakawago, famous for its traditional gassho-zukuri houses, with steep straw roofs designed to withstand heavy snowfall. This town is part of the World Heritage Site list.
Here, you'll also have free time to enjoy lunch and stroll along its serene streets, admiring ancient architecture, local craft shops, and the calming atmosphere that makes the town feel timeless.
The trip will continue back in Kanazawa to visit Kenrokuen, considered one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan. A true haven of art and nature, here you'll see the ponds that reflect trees and flowers, elegant bridges, stone lanterns, and carefully designed trails, showcasing beauty that changes with the seasons.
Afterward, we'll head to the historic neighborhood of Higashi Chaya. Here, classic tea houses will transport you to the Edo period and the world of geishas as you walk along lovely cobbled streets.
