Embark on a personalized day excursion from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji. This experience includes breathtaking views of the lake, a ride on the ropeway, and a visit to the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum, all guided just for you!
Details of the Day Trip
At the specified time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Tokyo, setting off on this delightful private day trip to Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji. Are you prepared to gaze upon Japan's highest mountain?
To commence our adventure, the guide will assist with public transport arrangements, and we'll board an express train towards Kawaguchiko, enjoying a comfortable 2.5-hour ride. Upon reaching Kawaguchiko, we'll board the Lake Kawaguchi retro sightseeing bus, which offers an exciting route past key attractions around the lake.
After a brief journey on the bus, we'll disembark at the Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. Opened in 1959, this cable car ascends Mount Tenj? from the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, reaching a height of 1,075 meters (3,527 feet) above sea level. During the ride, we'll enjoy spectacular views of Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji.
Once we descend, we’ll reboard the retro sightseeing bus and continue our tour around Lake Kawaguchi, the second largest of the five lakes of Fuji. It’s noteworthy that this lake is included in UNESCO's World Heritage List. Be sure to capture some memorable photos!
Our next stop will be the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum, a delightful European-themed park and museum located by Lake Kawaguchi, showcasing lovely views of Mount Fuji. Here, we'll spend an hour exploring a unique collection of antique music boxes and mechanical instruments. The beautifully maintained gardens, including an extensive rose garden, enhance the charm of the museum, merging music, art, and nature in a way that appeals to everyone.
After approximately 8 hours of exploration, we’ll return to Tokyo.
