Are you ready to uncover the essence of one of America's most historic cities and its prestigious educational institution? We will rendezvous at the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel in New York at the designated hour and kick off this memorable journey to Philadelphia and Princeton.
Our adventure begins as we head towards New Jersey, where Princeton University awaits us. After roughly two hours of travel, we will reach our destination and embark on a guided tour lasting about an hour, offering insight into one of the most distinguished campuses across the nation.
During our exploration of Princeton, you'll encounter the university's hallmark buildings, including Nassau Hall, the site’s oldest structure, along with Cannon Green, Richardson Auditorium, East Pyne, Chancellor Green, and the University Chapel. Compelling stories will accompany your visit, illuminating the influential figures who have graced its halls.
After our time at Princeton, we'll journey to Philadelphia, home to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy leisure time for lunch, and once you’ve recharged, we will commence a thorough tour of the city. Our first stop will be Elfreth's Alley, where you can admire a line of Georgian homes, including the historic Betsy Ross House. Did you know that the first American flag was crafted here?
Our tour will proceed towards Independence Hall, the site of the Liberty Bell. This landmark is an ideal spot to delve into the narratives surrounding the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence—key events in American heritage!
Next, enjoy a leisurely walk through the Independence National Historical Park before we navigate downtown to view City Hall and, notably, the famed steps featured in the Rocky film. These steps offer one of the finest panoramas of Philadelphia!
