Begin your ExperienceFirst Tour outside the Montjuïc Castle where your local guide will share how this hill is connected to the very foundation of Barcelona. Want to see inside the castle? Upgrade for a guided visit to this fortress before your tour and enjoy even more stunning viewpoints over the city.
From Montjuïc Castle, we’ll begin our tour through the blooming gardens and panoramic vistas of this fascinating neighborhood.
At Mirador del Alcalde, hear stories of the ancient migrant community that once lived here and the many evolutions of this unusual hilltop. In the charming Joan Brossa gardens, you’ll see and learn about a statue dedicated to the traditional Catalan dance, La Sardana. Later, we’ll visit another monument to dance, this one for Carmen Amaya, the famous flamenco dancer.
In the Laribal’s Gardens, your expert guide uncovers the mystical side of Montjuïc — this is where witches and wizards used to gather! We’ll walk down the gardens the same way the witches used to on our way to the Greek Theater, built for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition.
Our last stop is one of the best, the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, surrounded by stunning architecture, like the imposing Museum of Catalan Art and a walkway lined with shallow waterfalls.
If you’ve chosen the upgrade for our flamenco show, the culture experience isn’t over. In the evening, head to a historic tapas bar where downstairs — in the walls of an 11th-century convent — is an intimate venue. Here, you’ll watch the passionate display of music and dance that is flamenco with a show beginning at 9 p.m. Your ticket also includes a complimentary drink!
