Barcelona: Carcassonne & Girona Sightseeing Tour

We'll kick off our adventure by leaving Barcelona early for Carcassonne, an approximately 3-hour drive. Upon arrival in Carcassonne, you'll be amazed by the stunning Citadel, a medieval castle declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take time to explore its walls and towers, and don't miss the majestic Basilica of Saint-Nazaire, known for its beautiful stained-glass windows. First, we'll head to Narbonne Gate, the main entrance to the Citadel, where we'll admire its imposing walls. We'll explore the walls and climb the towers to enjoy panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscape. We'll visit Carcassonne Castle, where we'll learn about the history of the fortress through interactive exhibits and by touring its rooms. We'll go up to the Keep, which offers spectacular views. For lunch, we'll savor the local cuisine at one of the charming restaurants inside the citadel, such as La Barbacane, where you can try typical dishes like cassoulet. As the sun begins to set, you'll start your journey back to Girona, where you can end your day by exploring the old town of this beautiful city. In Girona, we'll have the chance to see, among other things, some of the filming locations for Game of Thrones, right on the steps of the cathedral. Continuing with our Jewish history, we will visit the Jewish Quarter of this city, which is very well preserved. We'll also visit the Eiffel Bridge, built at the confluence of four rivers, or the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Girona, with the largest altarpiece in all of European Gothic art.

If there is only one traveler on the excursion, an additional payment of €350 will be required on the day of pick-up to cover the extra costs associated with organizing the excursion for a single traveler. Payment can be made by card via a payment link or in cash.
