Departure from Barcelona at the scheduled time, from your hotel.
We will begin our journey to Andorra, the country nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees. We will soon be able to admire the Pyrenees, as well as the country's medieval charm and Romanesque art. Our first stop will be the Sanctuary of Meritxell, a place of great religious and historical significance. Here, we will explore the renovated old Romanesque building and the new sanctuary built in 1972, which represents a beautiful fusion of history and modernity.
We will arrive in the center of Andorra, which is known as a world-class shopping destination. You will have free time to explore the main avenue, where you will find premium brands and duty-free shopping. With a plethora of stores to stock up on fashion and accessories, you can visit boutiques, specialty shops, and luxury brands. In addition to shopping, we recommend visiting the Escaldes-Engordany Art Center and exploring the old town of Andorra la Vella, with its cobblestone streets and traditional architecture.
You will have time for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy Andorran cuisine.
On our way back to Barcelona, we will make a short detour to the famous Basilica of Montserrat. Upon arrival, we will explore the Montserrat Monastery, a historic treasure over a thousand years old, located in the mountains of Catalonia. Founded in the 11th century, this site is home to the Virgin of Montserrat, known as “La Moreneta” (the Black Madonna), and offers exceptional panoramic views from 720 meters above sea level.
We will visit the monastery's Basilica, notable for its 12-meter-high organ with over 4,200 pipes, which combines elements of Gothic, Renaissance, and Catalan architecture.
Finally, we will return to Barcelona.
