On Montserrat Mountain, the Gorros stand out: rounded and slender spires of solid rock where we can find a wide variety of climbing routes. Our proposal: climb the Gorro Frigi via the Vía de Carlos, a 155-meter route with a moderate difficulty between IV and V+ (1 long). It's the first long route experience for many climbers.
If you're more advanced and prefer a more difficult challenge, I have other suggestions that may interest you, such as the Gómez-Xalmet route located on the Prenyada peak, which is ideal for the coldest days of the winter season because it's on the south-facing slope with sun all day.
The guide will supervise the activity at all times and lead the rope team from start to finish.
The plan! We'll meet at 09:00 at the Monastery of Montserrat. We'll take the funicular and in 10 minutes we'll arrive at the "Pla de les Taràntules". There, we'll take a beautiful 15-minute path to the base of the Gorro Frigi. Between the climb and the rappelling descent, we'll spend between 3 and 4 hours, then we'll take the funicular again to return to the Monastery.
