Join us on this beautiful experience where we'll tour the sites that shaped the history of this country and tell you about the events that led to the first steps toward the War of Independence. We leave Manhattan around 5:50 a.m. for Boston, traveling through the state of Connecticut until we reach the state of Massachusetts, where there will be a stop for breakfast and to use the restrooms. Once in Boston, the first stop will be at the public square in the Back Bay neighborhood, Copley Square, where you will have time to learn about the history, visit the Boston Public Library, the Romanesque Revival Trinity Church, the adjacent John Hancock Tower, which has been a major achievement in the design of minimalist and modern skyscrapers, and the traditional 4-star hotel in downtown Boston, the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, which you can enter to take a photograph of the entrance lobby. And of course, take a photo at the fountain in Copley Square, where the Turtle and Hare monument is located. We'll pass by the Mary Baker Eddy Christian Science Church, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the most important music school in the country, Berklee College of Music. From there, we'll get off on Commonwealth Avenue, where we'll find monuments, and which is also the narrowest part of the Emerald Necklace. Continuing on to Cambridge, we'll pass by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and get off at Harvard University, where you can walk around and take a photo with the John Harvard statue. We'll walk part of the famous Freedom Trail, which is made up of 16 iconic sites that marked the beginning of a nation. And we'll finish at Quincy Market Square, where you'll have time to eat, use the restrooms, and enjoy the shops and street art.
- This includes stops at special and iconic places for walking and taking photos.
- We'll walk through the Harvard University campus.
- Free time at Quincy Market for lunch and a walk around the cultural area.
