This walking tour breaks down the Renaissance so well that you'll be impressed. The Tour begins in Strozzi Square, and covers the northern side of Florence, including the Cathedral as the main landmark. Highlights include Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, medieval art and architecture, Donatello’s innovations, the first Renaissance statue and painting, linear perspective, Filippo Brunelleschi’s dome, and much more. You will visit the Duomo's square, the first Renaissance building, and enjoy a gelato break. The tour ends in Santissima Annunziata which is close to the Accademia Gallery. The guide can walk you back to the Cathedral at the end of the tour. If you're going to Rome after Florence, this knowledge will be invaluable in understanding Roman architecture, and history.
