Spend an entire day in the Sancerre Region, one of France’s most renowned vineyards, and immerse yourself in the beauty and diversity of its wines. This all-inclusive tour will take you through the medieval town of Sancerre and its neighbouring denominations, showcasing the stunning panoramas of the hillsides.
Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel. Enjoy a drive to Sancerre with freshly baked croissants. Your wine-expert guide will lead you through the picturesque countryside, arriving at the first vineyard, where you'll learn about Sancerre wines and the region's rich history. Understand the distinctiveness of the Terres Blanches, Calcaires, and Silex terroirs and their impact on the wine as you taste your first samples. Before lunch, take in a magnificent view of the Sancerre vineyards and learn about the viticulture process. At a family-run winery or a local restaurant, enjoy a traditional French lunch featuring local specialities like Crottin de Chavignol, perfectly paired with wine. Next, visit an intimate, small vineyard to discover the vinification, barrel, and storage cellars.
