Meet us at the Czech Railway Main Ticket Office (České dráhy), in the center of Prague's main train station, and settle in for a scenic train ride through the Bohemian countryside — the perfect way to ease into the day before you arrive. We find that taking the train is the most comfortable way to make the day-trip, as it avoids road construction delays and allows our guests access to bathrooms throughout the journey.
Once in Kutná Hora, step into the ghoulish Sedlec Ossuary, a true highlight of the day that draws visitors from around the world. Beyond the piles of skulls and bones, you'll discover why this UNESCO-listed gem is home to so much more than its macabre reputation suggests. The Ossuary now operates on strict 30-minute timed-entry slots, and walk-up visitors are regularly turned away once a day's slots sell out. Your guide pre-books your group's entry days in advance, so this is one less thing to worry about on our tour.
We then take a short ride on a local bus to the Gothic St. Barbara's Church, one of Bohemia's most stunning cathedrals, before wandering through the historic streets that once made Kutná Hora the economic powerhouse of the Kingdom of Bohemia.
