I loved everything about this walk. It included food, history, culture, and just gave me a deeper understanding of Kazakhstan. Aiguerim was fun, upbeat, positive, and a joy to follow around for a few hours. Now I’m realizing my time is too short here and I wish I had more days to stay and eat.

We had a great time exploring Almaty with Karakoz. Detailed information, Karakoz enthusiasm about Kasach culture and the option to try different foods at the green market made this tour really special. Would 100% recommend.

The tour was great! Karakoz was extremely warm, friendly and fun to talk to, and she shared a lot of interesting information about Kazakhstan, Almaty and Kazakh culture. A higlight was going to the Green Bazaar and trying different traditional products like horse meat, kumys and different types of cheese.

Danil was a fantastic tour guide and spent time to explain the locations and translate some of the monuments to give us additional insights. He was super knowledgeable and engaging and I was really happy we got him as our guide!

It was a really interesting tour including the Market and a couple of the important parts of Almaty! The guide was really engaging and had a lot of personal stories to share. Would recommend it for anyone interested in getting a quick overview of Almaty, learning about Kazakh history and culture.

Highly recommend this tour. Got to sample amazing food at the Green Market (Horse meat jerky, horse milk, dried strawberries, salted dry cheese and other fruit and nuts). Karakoz was amazing. She spoke fluent English and explained all the highlights of the city in great detail as well as the Turkmen culture and food. A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable evening!
