Excellent introduction to Almaty and Kazakhstan. Superb engagement and interaction. I was dubious of how long the tour would be and people losing interest, especially as it was raining, but it was a great tour.

We really enjoyed the tour and all of the places that we visited. We were grateful that it was a very small tour so we were able to ask lots of questions and our guide was very knowledgable and passionate about Almaty. Thank you!

Anna was great! It was fantastic to hear the fascinating history of Almaty and Kazakhstan as well as her lively stories. We were a small group so it was very friendly and personal. The tour visits a limited portion of the city centre but being able to shop and do tastings in the market with a local to explain was a highlight!

Karakoz gave us a wonderful tour around the Paniflov Park and Green Bazaar areas, with a history lesson woven throughout the walk.We got to sample some local delicacies, but I don't think I will be converted to horse meat. It was nice to get her perspectives on daily life, éducation, family life etc Thank you Karakoz!

We had a great and fun walking tour with our guide Karakoz! She shared interesting information about Kazakhstan and Almaty with us, and helped us understand the Kazakh culture better. We got to see few famous places in Almaty and try some local specialities on the Green Bazaar. Karakoz was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

This is one of the very best walking tours I have ever done. It was a great introduction to Almaty and Kazakhstan in general. We even had samples of several foods we would never have tried, and in the case of fermented camel's milk, will never try again! Karakoz was friendly, very informative, always happy to answer questions, and all around amazing. I give my highest recommendation of this tour.

Karakoz is a very knowledgeable and patient guide ready to answer all your questions about Kazakhstan. Since she’s a local she gives you a proper and authentic tour of Almaty the culture, food and history. We really enjoyed out tour with her!

I joined the free walking tour of Almaty and had such a great experience! Karakoz was friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable — sharing not just historical facts, but also local stories and cultural insights that really brought the city to life. The pace of the tour was just right, with plenty of time to enjoy key landmarks like Panfilov Park and the Zenkov Cathedral. She also brought us to try camel and horse milk at a local joint, and also personally helped us to pick out chocolates at the Rahat factory and local snacks at the supermarket after we asked her for some recommendations. If you’re visiting Almaty, this walking tour is a must-do! It’s the perfect introduction to the city and a great way to connect with its atmosphere and people.

The tour gives a very thorough introduction to Almaty and the entire Kazakhstan. Aiguerim provides a huge amount of information regarding history, culture, customs and life today. Would definitely recommend to those being the first time in Kazakhstan and would want to have some knowledge of the country.

Wow, great tour, great group, and great day in Almaty! Our guide, Aiguerim, was simply a joy:) She was smiley, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, kind, thorough and a very great example of a great guide. I learned so much about the various place, but also the culture, education, food, and more. Our group was full of questions and it helped the five hours fly by. Really enjoyed this tour and highly suggest!

I had the free walking tour with Aiguerim and enjoyed very much for the time we had spend. She provided us great information about the historical background, and tried some sweet and milk product in Green Bazaar. She also prepared a list of restaurants and cafes upfront to share with us after the trip. It is one of the best walking tour I had in Central Asia.

Was a surprisingly thorough walk, focused more on culture and food than history (though it had some). Karakoz very knowledgeable and helpful; the market was wonderful.

The tour with Karakoz was great, she's very knowledgeable about her country, and I was grateful we almost had a private tour, since there was only 2 people including me in the group. We also had flexibility and took our time, so that was nice. Sadly, I had little difficulty to understand her English a little bit, but we managed to work it out.
