The house was beautiful, but what was even more amazing was the drinks (raki) afterwards with the family. We got to bond over a raki and the glycol even though we are not speaking the same language.

Lorenc was the perfect host. He showed us around his home city, and was full of charm, and knowledge of the city and it's people.
He even arranged a lift up the hill to the castle for us.
Lorenc took us to see his wonderful home, which is one of the oldest in the city. We tasted his red and white wines, and had a wonderfully smooth coffee.
I thoroughly recommend that you contact Lorenc if you are in Berat.
Not ideal, but we only booked about two hours prior to the walk, and Lorenc was there for us.
