Reliable. Go to the zocalo in the city center and they will gather by the cross in the center of the square, not the square in front of the government building. Look for an open umbrella. The tour is an easy walk but there are hills and steps. We visited the churches, obtained insights into the culture, history and past politics. We learned a little about shopping and what to look for when purchasing certain items, but it was not a sales pitch and purely informational. Learned a little about what to do and see in the city and around San Cristobal. Tried some coffee. Tried some Pox (posh). It was an enjoyable couple hours. Make sure to bring an umbrella in rainy season, just in case. Our guide Carlos did an excellent job and was very experienced. He is a Spanish speaker who speaks English very well. They have other guides too and during season 4 work at a time to split the people. If you can do this tour the first thing when you arrive, I think it is best. Customary tip of 200 pesos, I saw people giving more and less (nothing is free). I highly recommend.
This is the best way to get a lay of the land! Ana was amazing tour guide and cool to meet other people visiting as well.
Laura was the sweetest, explained well. Answered all our questions patiently and gave us the best recommendation. Very nice time .
Carlos was great - very engaging. I usually find walking tours to be a hit or miss but this one was definitely a hit!
