Thoroughly enjoyed our walk round the old quarter of the city with Miguel. He was knowledgeable and friendly and clearly enthusiastic about his role of telling visitors some of the history of Bilbao. He offered some good suggestions of places to see within easy reach of the city on the metro. Later in the day we took the metro to Areeta and walked along to Algorta, enjoying the views of the lively beaches and the grand period Mansions built in the 19th century. We had a great afternoon.
