This tour was two cultural rituals that define the rhythm of Iberian life: fado and tapas. One feeds the soul. The other feeds everything else. Fado is Portugal’s most emotional export. It’s not just music; it’s a feeling. A deep, aching longing the Portuguese call saudade — a mix of nostalgia, love, loss, and destiny. Picture this: You’re in a dimly lit tavern. The room falls silent. A singer steps forward, backed by the delicate, shimmering sound of 2 Portuguese guitarras. The first note hangs in the air — raw, vulnerable, almost trembling. Ricardo was awesome explaining the food and the songs. If you’re looking for a cultural experience and not just some food tour, suddenly you understand Portugal a little better. Ricardo also was so knowledgeable about the history of the area as we walked through the historic areas before and after the performance.
This was a wonderful tour! Perfect route and great information! This would be a great introduction to Lisbon, but was also perfect for me who has been lucky to visit Lisbon multiple times. Ricardo was just lovely and I hope to return and tour with him again!

Ricardo war ein sehr sympathischer Guide. Es war eine sehr interessante ,informative sowie unterhaltsame Tour, die man nur weiterempfehlen kann. Trotz des schlechten Wetters gingen wir nach dem Fado noch gemeinsam zu einem tollen Aussichtspunkt. Einfach ein toller Abend für uns !
