This was a very cool tour of graffiti art in Berlin. I really learned a lot, and our guide Dara was very professional, and yet a lot of fun. THANK YOU! X
Our guide, a super nice older lady, was lovely, but we felt herded into her friend's shops to have money extracted from us. TOO MUCH SHOPPING! Particularly the last stop at the "oldest herbalist in Tangier", where the guy was really aggressively selling his wares, and seduced us with stories of the magic properties of his herbs, all of which was BULL and lies. He even grabbed my hair in front of my husband, a huge insult in Morrocan to another man's woman, and made fun of us. After his 'performance', he handed us paper bags, expecting us to purchase his goods. He was very aggressive, like a side show snake oil salesman. I got conned into buying what he claimed was 'amber' which was fake, and also a very low quality argan oil which it turns out was not pure. All at super inflated prices. AVOID THIS!!!! I would have tipped her THREE TIMES what I gave in the end, but her friend took most of our cash. He was more oily than his fake argan oil. She also didn't protect us from the constant street sellers, following us like wolves, indeed, she seemed to encourage them. I think she was also friends with them. She seemed a nice, genuine lady, but we felt like lambs being led to the slaughter. Also, the tour was booked as to be in English, but was mostly in Spanish, although our guide did make an effort to repeat information in English to us, and I was pleased know that my Spanish has improved enough to be able to understand much of what was said.
Really great guides. Totally recommended for information about the less visited, less touristy parts of Venice. Think local, act global! X
A really entertaining walk with a fun, and informative guide. Lot's of obscure and fascinating snippets of information about the untouristy legends of Venice. Recommend! X
