Caoimhín was great. Friendly and informative. I have just one comment. Since I was alone, and the only one on the tour, Caomhín asked me at the beginning what I wanted ( which I thought was very courteous) and I said I wanted to cover as much ground as possible and see as much as possible. As it turned out, I felt like we didn't really walk much at all -- we stayed within a very small area of the old city center, and on several occasions we spent at least 20 min, standing in one place talking. Of course I don't mind descriptions and history and anecdotes, that's what I'm on the tour for, but I really felt this tour could have covered a lot more.
I thought the tour guide was really friendly and told some great stories. However I was disappointed that we didn’t really walk very far and the tour ended a little earlier than anticipated. There seemed to be a lot of lengthy storytelling but after exploring on my own later I just discovered that there was so much more that the tour could’ve covered within Alfama and i just wondered why we hadn’t done so.
