Free Walking Tours in Horta

Die Tour mit Cesar war super. Er spricht sehr gutes Englisch und erzählt viel von der Geschichte und dem Leben auf Faial. Absolute Empfehlung!

Thanks for the flexibility to met us. It was great to have a local show us around and the bonus was the restaurant recommendations.

I had a great introductory tour of Horta with Cesar. He has lived on Faial most of his life and knows Horta well. The highlights included a beautiful mural that Pedro Brum, a local artist, had painted on a wall of a building. The mural provided a very compelling and interesting history of Horta, including that it was to center of advanced telecommunications in the early 20th Century. Cesar also explained the Dragon Tree, which is native to the Azores Islands and has an interesting method of growing. We capped off the walk at the Municipal Market for some fantastic gelato, at a recently opened gelato shop. Overall, a very positive experience.

Recomendado! Pese a que el tiempo fue cambiante el tour se hizo ameno con el contenido y la forma de explicar de César.
