Emanuele delivered Napoli history full of passion and in-depth knowledge. After the tour, he recommended OWAP for us to grab Napoli traditional pizza. 🙏🏻😊👍🏻

Das neapolitanische Volk: Geschichte, Kultur und Folklore

Emmanuell is a bright, enthusiastic guide who has Naples “in his blood”. His tour is unique in that he focuses largely on the mentality and culture of the city and its people, rather than typical tourist sites. He focused primarily on the plight of the citizens in the Spanish Quarter, particularly the youth. He also introduced us to artisans and people keeping the culture and trades of Naples alive. He speaks quickly- you’ll need coffee to keep up with him, but I recommend this tour for anyone interested in doing a deeper dive into Naples.

Gracias!!!

This was, without a doubt, the best walking tour I’ve ever been on! Truly authentic in the real sense of the word. Emanuele’s philosophy of tourism is exactly what travel should be about!

Emanuele’s walking tour was honestly the best I’ve ever done on my travels! He is authentic, passionate and genuinely wants you to understand Naples, its people, culture and everyday life. If you’re looking for a tour just to see monuments and take pictures, this might not be the right one for you. But if you want to experience the real Naples and get to know its soul, Emanuele is the perfect guide! ❤️

Not a traditional tour of the sites but rather insightful look into the history and life in Naples. Great guide.

Emanuele is an amazing and super grounded guide. This was quite a different tour where walkers are invited to know and understand what it is to be Neapolitan, to make contact with the natives, and to understand their history, social struggles, and their everyday lives. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone interested in a historically grounded but contemporary real-life experience. I wish there were more of these around the world!

This is a serious reflection of the forces that shaped the history and culture of Naples - it is not a shallow presentation of historical highlights. It is also a passionate plea to tourists to spend their time and money in a way that promotes social justice, in a city and region that have been underdeveloped and marginalized. I found it very refreshing and hugely relevant, though I would have enjoyed a slightly slower paced presentation. Naples is lucky to have Emmanuele as an advocate.
