Excellent guide - Dave Méndez with such passion and entertaining way of sharing knowledge. Answered questions readily and made the toyr both educational and interesting. I have done these types of tours in other countries and Dave by far is one of the best in sharing information in a way that makes it memorable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Dave. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. He shared true stories and in depth history of San Salvador at each site. Dave's warmth and inviting manner made us feel like we were walking through the streets of San Salvador with a good friend. We highly recommend this walking tour as well as his gastronomy tour which highlighted the delicious local dishes in San Salvador!

Amazing Walking Tour!! I learned a lot about the history of the country and got to know the "new" El Salvador. Dave was not only really knowledgeable, but a really good storyteller and a really fun guy to spend time with. Definitely recommend!

It was a super super nice experience. At the end due to low season we were just two person at the tour and Dave were so friendly, happy and patient. He answered every question and at the end the tour went over one hour longer. Really amazing. Would definitely recommend it

This tour was an excellent introduction into the history, present day, and future of El Salvador. I took the tour on my first day in the country and learned a ton! David is a dynamic presenter and very passionate about introducing travelers to El Salvador. He has been doing the tour since 2018. He shares his own story as a testament to the history shared in the tour. We also got to taste some horchata and then were directed to a lovely pupusa restaurant. Definitely an excellent use of 3 hours!

Dave is an absolute rockstar. I was the only person who showed up and he still enthusiastically ran the full 2.5 hour tour with me. He’s fluent in English (lived in US before), extremely personable and easy to talk to. He’s also a huge patriot of his country and talks about everything with passion. If you’re looking for THE walking tour in San Salvador, this one is it without a doubt!!

Dave is an amazing guide, who will take you through the historic centre of San Salvador and tell you so many interesting things about the countries and cities past, present and the planned future. You can really feel, how much passion Dave has for sharing his love for this place, and because of that you have the opportunity to get an insight in the situation the Salvadoran people emerged from and how it shaped their present. It’s a great tour and I learned a lot from doing it!

Ich habe die Tour sehr genossen. Ich habe schon viele Freewalking tours gemacht und kann sagen, dass diese einer der Besten war. Dave wusste extrem viel über sein Land und hat auch selber viel erlebt, was er uns erzählt hat. Es war spannend im zuzuhören und auch alle Fragen konnte er beantworten. Von San Salvador selber war ich auch positiv überrascht und die Geschichte aufjedefall wissenswert. Ich kann die Tour mit Dave nur empfehlen!

Adrian was an excellent guide, conducted in English. He is quite educated and gave an amazing tour, indulging me with the current state and past history of the country by pointed out many events, locations, and cultural items of importance . We started in a beautiful, fascinating park and ended up in the center near national buildings, important churches, central markets, and some dining options (the Pulpusa place off the library was fantastic and inexpensive). Of modern interest - don't miss the state-of-the-art library and most beautiful Starbucks in the world along the way. This is a MUST DO - awesome in every way. Travel tip: Include a phone number on your reservation and check your email/phone the morning of and prior to the tour for important updates and communication.

TAKE THIS TOUR! Dave is absolutely incredible...seriously, you need not look for any other walking tours. Dave's energy is amazing- fun and infectious!
