We enjoyed our afternoon tour with César. He was very knowledgeable and had lots of interesting insights about Santa Marta. He was very friendly and was always open to answering all our questions. We told him that we were going to do the 4-day trek to Ciudad Perdida the next day so he gave us lots of interesting information which were very relevant to this trek, Ciudad Perdida itself and the local indigenous people. He was very easygoing and was happy to take our photos at some of the stops. He also sent us a list of recommended restaurants at the end of the tour. He also recommended other things for us to see and do while we're in Santa Marta. We were glad that we took this tour and we would recommend this to others. Thank you César! 😊

Une visite guidée vraiment passionnante avec Javier ! Il nous a partagé énormément d’informations très intéressantes sur l’histoire, la culture et l’actualité de Santa Marta, tout en rendant la visite très vivante et accessible. J’ai particulièrement apprécié les petits moments de gossip, qui ajoutaient une touche très sympa à la visite, ainsi que les anecdotes et histoires personnelles sur sa famille. Cela permet vraiment de donner vie aux lieux et de mieux comprendre la ville à travers ceux qui y vivent. Une visite riche, authentique et pleine de belles histoires. Je recommande vivement Javier pour découvrir Santa Marta autrement !

Cesar is great, the tour feels fresh even though he is very experienced, he is totally in tune and wants to know any questions or guidance you are seeking, couldn’t ask for more and we’ve visited many places around the world.

I've been lucky enough to have some amazing walking tours around the world, so that's where I'm coming from when I say this tour was absolutely fine. Seems just as good as the other tours I saw in Santa Marta, if not better. My main complaint with all of them is that a big portion of the tour is just walking through the museum downtown and explaining things there. That museum is free and has plenty of English exhibits, so there's no need for a guide. What would really elevate this tour would be to incorporate more local storytelling, the stuff you don't get in museums and guidebook overviews. Stopping in front of specific houses and businesses to talk about the people in the community who shaped it. Those aspects of the tour (like the park) worked the best for me, and it'd be great to have more.

Giorgio fue un guía genial. Nos dio una visita por el museo, enseñándonos acerca de la cosmovisión de los pueblos indígenas, y se nota muchísimo el conocimiento que tiene sobre el tema. Me causó curiosidad saber cómo había aprendido tanto y me contó que suele trabajar mucho con comunidades indígenas. Incluso me mostró fotos de algunos de los lugares donde ha estado. Después, continuó contándonos la historia de la ciudad, desde Simón Bolívar y la Catedral hasta el Parque de los Novios, e incluso nos habló sobre el fundador de Santa Marta. Pero para mí, la cereza del pastel fue al final del recorrido, cuando nos llevó a un lugar conocido como la Plaza de los Jugos. Allí pudimos probar frutas que la mayoría de nosotros nunca habíamos probado. El lulo fue una de ellas y me encantó. Me dejé llevar por sus recomendaciones y pedí un jugo de lulo con naranja que, para el calor, fue simplemente genial. Y por último, pero no menos importante: Giorgio habla italiano como si hubiese nacido en Italia. ¡Qué nivel tan sorprendente! Definitivamente, 100 % recomendado. 🇨🇴👏

He tenido la oportunidad de hacer el tour con Jorge y ha sido muy bueno. Comenzando por la explicaciones en el Museo del Oro de la ciudad hasta los procesos del café. Totalmente recomendable.

Die Tour war mit eine der besten Walking Tours, die wir in Kolumbien unternommen haben! Wir hatten super viel Glück und wir waren die einzigen beiden Teilnehmenden und trotzdem hat Javier uns nicht abgesagt. Javier war begeistert von den Geschichten, die er erzählt hat, das hat man ihm angemerkt und es war ansteckend. Als super Start ging es ins Museo de Oro und danach etwas durch die Altstadt weiter bis wir die Tour am Hafen mit einem kleinen Fruchttasting beendet haben. Javier hat uns mit der Geschichte der Region abgeholt, uns einige Anekdoten erzählt und uns kompetent (auch kulinarisch) durch die Tour geführt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden jedem empfehlen auch die Tour bei Javier zu buchen, es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! 10/10, danke Javier :)

Muy buen recorrido para tener un primer acercamiento a Santa Marta. El recorrido incluye la visita al Museo del Oro Tayrona, donde las explicaciones de Enrique hacen mucho mas interesante el recorrido.

Jorge es un guía muy preparado y ameno en sus relatos, se detiene en la cultura prehispánica y luego hace un paso al período de colonización y fundación de Sra Marta, para llevarnos luego al monumento a Simón Bolívar, la catedral, el muelle y finalizar en una tienda donde nos contó de los procesos del café. Excelente!!!

César clearly deeply loves and is proud of his country, Colombia, and his city, Santa Marta. That was evident in how he guided us. He spoke passionately and knowledgably of the sights he showed us around. He answered our questions patiently. He spoke with deep empathy and respect about the Indigenous peoples and their cultures. He spoke authoritatively about the history and geography of the region. And at the end of the tour, he even gave us restaurant recommendations that turned out to be excellent. It was a memorable walking tour thanks to a great guide.
