Javier is amazing! His knowledge of history, setting a context for Santa Marta past and present and relationships with other locals for us to meet and his sense of humor was the best! By far, best tour in South America so far! Make sure you take a tour of Santa Marta with him!

We had a lovely afternoon with Javier, it felt more like going around with a very knowledgeable friend than a guide. He was very knowledgeable and tailored some of the info to our personal interests. We weren't sure what to expect with this tour as our previous tour experiences have been mixed in Colombia. We weren't disappointed however and were so impressed with Javier's tour! He was so incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Santa Manta and the fact that he was born in this place made it that much more authentic what he was saying. His style was perfect and he had better English than me! The pace was perfect: we did a fair bit of walking around the town but not too much and would stop along the way. What made this experience even more unique was the fact that he introduced us to some local artisans and foods too. Javier was so friendly and happy to answer and questions we had. Definitely a 5/5 tour and the best thing we have done in Santa Marta!

Extremely knowledge and helpful guide, Martin taught our group lots about the interesting history of Santa Marta the oldest town in Colombia. The tour was super engaging and is a great way to familiarise yourself with Santa Marta and it's story :)
