One of the best walking tours I've ever experienced! Vako is an absolutely fantastic guide – knowledgeable, charismatic, witty and incredibly engaging. What makes his tour special is that it goes well beyond the usual sightseeing and historical facts. He brings Yerevan and Armenia to life through fascinating stories covering everything from history, politics and geography to culture, food and art. A special mention has to go to his remarkable knowledge of politics. I particularly enjoyed his insights into Armenian politics and the country's relationships with the wider world. He has a brilliant way of explaining complex political and historical subjects while keeping them interesting, entertaining and easy to follow. And then there was the story about Kanye West – an absolute highlight! I won't spoil it here, but Vako's storytelling made it particularly memorable. He also took us to some fascinating places and hidden gems that I would probably never have discovered on my own, sharing interesting historical details and useful local recommendations along the way. What impressed me most was his ability to keep everyone entertained and engaged for over three hours. If I really have to criticise anything, I think the food recommendations were a bit time consuming at the end, but that is me not being a foodie. I guess someone who loves food will like that as well! If you're visiting Yerevan, I cannot recommend this walking tour highly enough. Whether you're interested in history, politics, culture or simply discovering the city beyond the usual tourist attractions, Vako delivers an exceptional experience. Thank you, Vako, for such an informative, entertaining and memorable introduction to Yerevan and Armenia!

Wonderful two hours spent with Armen, much appreciated. I liked that we kept moving throughout the tour vs standing for long periods. Positive happy young guy, great to spend time with him and learn about Yerevan.

Good Day 1 orientation, plenty of steps/exercise, small group. Spoke quite fast, lots of historical info didn’t sink in. But liked the guides commitment to sharing as much as possible and fielding lots of questions.

Lusine was so kind to conduct a tour when I was the only one to show up on a light rainy day. She showed me some beautiful gems of the city hidden from the public and standart tours. Also answered all the questions that were related to the shopping here.

I had a wonderful walking tour of Yerevan that struck the perfect balance between history, culture, local insights, and food. Our guide, Iwonna, was fantastic — engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing her city. She created a relaxed, interactive atmosphere and was genuinely open to the group’s interests, happily adapting the itinerary to explore the topics we were curious about. One of the real highlights was discovering unique places and hidden gems that we would probably never have found or visited on our own. Iwonna’s local knowledge and personal insights gave us a much deeper appreciation of Yerevan and Armenian culture, bringing the city’s history and everyday life to life in a really authentic way. The delicious lunch featuring traditional Armenian dishes was another highlight, offering a wonderful introduction to the local cuisine and food traditions. Overall, it was a thoughtful, engaging, and memorable experience with the perfect mix of history, culture, discovery, and gastronomy. A big thank you to Iwonna for making the tour so enjoyable and personal. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to get beyond the usual sights and experience the real Yerevan!
